Introducing the CAC Outreach Team, Part 1 of 3

Guest post by Ben Woelk, Outreach Team Lead, Community Affairs Committee.

The Outreach Team offers support to new and seasoned SIG and chapter leaders. We have a group of past presidents and other members with extensive community experience, who have been assigned to provide one-on-one mentoring and guidance to you, our community leaders. It’s the mentors’ job to reach out to support the current leadership.

If you haven’t heard about the program, that’s okay, it’s relatively new. However, what you do need to know is that if you are a SIG or chapter leader, we’ve assigned your community an outreach team member/mentor who has and will be trying to get in touch. Yes, they are a sanctioned representative of STC and they’re here to help you by helping with communication, troubleshooting, following up on issues, and sharing best practices.

We’ll introduce the team over the next couple of weeks, starting today.
