You know when you go to use a new software product and you just want to pick up the phone and ask a person what to do next? Well, that’s what your outreach team rep is for. STC and the Community Affairs Committee provide many Leadership Resources available on My STC. However, we also want to provide you with a go-to person when you have questions or concerns. The Outreach Team provides that support. You don’t have to run your community all by yourself. Your team member is ready, willing, and able to provide you needed support!
In our last segment, we introduced four members of the Outreach Team. Here are three more:
Donn Deboard
Communities: James River, New England, Puget Sound, Santa Barbara, Toronto (with Anna Parker-Richards), West Michigan Shores, Willamette Valley
Donn is an information developer with over 25 years experience in the software and financial services industry. He is an STC Associate Fellow. Donn is a long time supporter and active member of the STC Philadelphia Metro chapter. He has served in leadership positions at the chapter, SIG, and international levels. He is a senior information developer at Vertex, Inc., a tax technology company in Berwyn, PA.
David Dick
Communities: SIGs
David Dick is an STC Fellow, co-founder and first President of the Belgium Chapter, and currently Manager of the Usability and User Experience (UUX) SIG. From 1998 until 2010, David was editor of Usability Interface, newsletter of the UUX SIG. He is co-author of Web Services, Service Oriented Architectures, and Cloud Computing. David is a member of the Washington, D.C.-Baltimore Chapter. David works as a contractor for a U.S. government agency in Northern Virginia.
Li-At Ruttenberg
Communities: Australia, France, India, Israel, TransAlpine, United Kingdom & Ireland
Li-At Ruttenberg is the sole technical editor at Yardi Systems, where she supports 17 software-documentation writers. She is also an active, senior member of STC; her current roles are Fundraiser Events Manager for the Technical Editing SIG, president of the Santa Barbara (California, USA) chapter, and International Lead for the CAC Outreach Team.
