If so, nominate them for the Distinguished Community Service Award!
The Distinguished Community Service Award recognizes exemplary effort, energy, and dedication to an STC Community. It is the highest level of recognition that a member can receive for service to a community. The Community Service Awards are:
- Distinguished Chapter Service Award (DCSA)
- Distinguished SIG Service Award (DSSA)
- Distinguished Service Award for Students (DSAS)
Communities may nominate any senior member of the community, as long as they are not the President or Vice President. Depending on the size of your community, you may be eligible to nominate more than one member. The award guidelines give the breakdown. The submitter will be notified in early December regarding the nomination and the certificates will be emailed in early January, in plenty of time to be awarded at your community’s Honors Banquet.
To nominate an outstanding member, please refer to the guidelines and applications on the STC website. Applications are due 31 October 2011 and should be emailed to Chris Hester, DCSA Chair, and Lloyd Tucker, STC Deputy Executive Director.
