STC unveiled the winners of two community awards at the 2012 Summit: the Most Improved Community and the Community of the Year. These awards were introduced at the 2011 Summit to complement the current community awards and provide an extra incentive for chapters and SIGs.
The Most Improved Community is given to the community that “stepped up their game” the most from one year to the next, based on their applications for the Community Achievement Award. This year two communities tied for the honor. Congratulations to both the Orlando Chapter and the Toronto Chapter.
The Community of the Year Award is presented to the community that had the highest score of all of the outstanding Communities of Distinction. The second Community of the Year Award goes to the Orlando Chapter.
