Four STC communities and members of the STC staff recently were named winners in APEX 2014, The 26th Annual Awards for Publication Excellence. APEX Awards are based on excellence in graphic design, editorial content, and the ability to achieve overall communication excellence. APEX Grand Awards honor the outstanding works in each main category, while APEX Awards of Excellence recognize exceptional entries in each of the individual categories. Congratulations to the following STC winners:
- Carolina Chapter (Rick Sapir): APEX Award of Excellence in the category of Newsletters – Electronic and Email
- Northeast Ohio Chapter (Lisa Mileusnich, Lynn Nickels, Jeanette Evans): APEX Award of Excellence in the category of Newsletters – Electronic and Email
- Technical Editing SIG (Rick Sapir): APEX Award of Excellence in the category of One to Two Person-Produced Websites
- Washington DC-Baltimore Chapter (Cynthia Lockley): APEX Award of Excellence in the category of WordPress Sites
- Willamette Valley Chapter (Valerie Ball and Carol Larson): APEX Award of Excellence in the category of Newsletter Writing
- The 2012–2013 STC Salary Database, written by Rick O’Sullivan, APEX Award of Excellence in the category of One-of-a-Kind Custom-Published Publications
- And last but not least, STC Media Manager Kevin Cuddihy received an APEX Award of Excellence in the category of Blog Content (with a huge assist from and a thank-you to all the guest bloggers)
