To honor Michael Keene’s contributions to University of Tennessee Knoxville and to technical communication, the English Department at UT Knoxville has established the Keene Award for Excellence in Technical Communication.
On behalf of the Society for Technical Communication’s Board of Directors, I am pleased to announce that STC has chosen Liz Pohland as its next Chief Executive Officer. Liz is the seventh executive director in the 64-year history of the Society.
BILL COGGIN, STC Fellow and Student Advisor of the Bowling Green State University Student STC Chapter, passed away on 9 February 2014 after a long illness. Bill served the technical communication profession and STC both in the academic and professional/industrial arenas with significant personal and professional success.
