Increases Value at Little Cost – Adding a Chapter or SIG

STC Chapters and Special Interest Groups (SIGs) are active in meetings, publications, conferences, and building technical communication communities. Adding a Chapter or SIG to your membership can allow you to expand your knowledge and your network.

What is happening at the #STC15 Leadership Program?

The Leadership Program at the STC 2015 Summit http://summit.stc.org/ will be Sunday, 21 June, from 8:00 AM to noon EDT. The program offers an opportunity for STC community leaders past, present, and future to get together for sharing and learning. This year’s program will be a little different and for good reason.

Community Events for August Added to Calendar

While many communities in the United States take a brief break over  the summer, there are still a few hosting events. So thanks to the chapter and SIG leaders for filling STC in on what’s going on in your commununities. Click the Community Events tab above to see the full listing, in chronological order and with links where provided, or see the list below. Events with the blue @ icon have an online component, and STC members worldwide are invited to participate!

"SIG List" Yourself: How One SIG Is Using the New Mailing Lists

More and more communities and community members are taking advantage of the renewed mailing lists. We noticed that the Consulting and Independent Contracting SIG, in particular, was making great use of their mailing lists. We asked the SIG Manager Marilyn Woelk to share what they’ve done to help spur interest and conversation. See her guest blog below. If you are a Chapter or SIG member and are contacted by your community leader to register for a list, please do so. You can also sign up for mailing lists online.
