Intercom Q&A: Alec Hosterman Call for Questions

Alec Hosterman's article in the December Intercom, “Tools of the Trades: Getting Technical about Using Twitter,” focused on how technical communicators can use Twitter—for references, feedback, marketing, brainstorming, customer service, and more. He used as an example a Texas Tech University conference where doctoral students in technical communication and rhetoric converged, and how they used Twitter to improve the overall experience.

Alec's article is available to read (or re-read) online at the Intercom site. Don’t forget that you must be logged in to view the PDFs.

Alec has graciously volunteered to be the next Intercom author to participate in our Q&A sessions. So, do you have a question about the article you'd like him to answer? Have a follow-up query on something he wrote? Interested in more information on how the students at the conference coordinated things? Want tips for best Twitter practices? Now's your time to ask!

Here’s how it works: Email me your questions for Alec by Monday morning, 11 January. I’ll forward them to him and he’ll send me his answers, which I’ll post Wednesday afternoon, 13 January. We’ll have a new Q&A on another Intercom article every other Wednesday. So if you have any questions send them my way, and we’ll present the responses next week!
