The Summit proper doesn't start until the Opening General Session at 5:30 PM CDT (GMT-5) this evening, but STC President Cindy Currie, the rest of the board, many community leaders, and even some attendees are already hard at work.
The Board of Directors has already put in two long days of work, and are in the midst of another with the very productive Leadership Day. Friday's public Board Meeting included a very big announcement, also discussed at Leadership Day today, and we'll have more on it later today in STC's Notebook. Hint: It rhymes with “blurtification.” Check back later for much more!
By the way, in addition to those boots being made for working, they're also made for dancin' and one other standard Texas activity. Cindy, outgoing Immediate Past President Mark Clifford, a few staff members, and a member went out to Gilley's last night (made famous in the 1980 John Travolta movie Urban Cowboy).
