Judith Herr Receives President's Award at Summit

Judith Herr, co-chair of the Community Affairs Committee and a longtime member of the STC Board of Directors, was honored with the President's Award last night, joyfully presented by STC President Hillary Hart as part of the Summit's Opening Session.

Herr's citation reads: “For your longtime championship of all STC communities and the value they bring to STC. For your vision in bringing the Community Affairs Committee to life and your tireless work on fostering productive two-way communication between STC members and the STC Board.”

Congratulations to Judy on this wonderful honor. STC thanks you for your years of service to the Society.

  1. Vision and tireless work and value – yes, that describes the amazing, no, awesome Judith Herr. It was an honor and a privilege to work with her when I was the SIG Advocate, as well as when she was the SIG Advocate and I was on her advisory council of SIG managers.

  2. I have worked with Judy on various projects over many years. Judy is always enthusiastic and upbeat, yet she is practical and knows how to get things done. She is really good at getting people involved and then stepping back and letting them take over. She wants to see people do well, but she doesn’t want to be in charge, and she isn’t looking for the credit.

Judy certainly deserves this distinction, and I’m pleased that Hillary chose to award it to her.
