In a webinar of their progression from Leadership Day 2013, Andrea and Cindy will talk about the Community Success Plan section of the Community Handbook. Participants should come away with information about the activities that their community should accomplish during the year to successfully serve its members.
Communities were unsure of what activities they should complete during the program year, so the CAC compiled a list of the top 10 activities. This list should help community leaders identify and plan their year.

STC recognizes excellence in technical communication and outstanding service with several awards for both its members and its communities. This webinar describes the nomination criteria and process for each of the awards and honors offered to STC members and communities.
If you have not prepared a nomination or application before, you should attend this webinar, where you will hear from the committee chairs of the awards and can ask questions to help you complete the submission process on time. The following committee chairs will present:

In this leadership webinar, Carolyn Klinger and Rick Lippincott will explain the process for merging STC chapters. This can be an effective method of preserving and strengthening chapters and continuing to serve members when membership numbers are declining. The session will describe the mutual benefits of mergers, including strengthening leadership and possible financial benefits. It will describe some of the problems you may experience and suggest methods to avoid them. It will also give a brief overview of the actual process of merging chapters, including the requirement for Board approval. Handouts will be available.
