Distinguished Community Service Awards

The Distinguished Community Service Awards recognize the hard work and commitment of STC’s community leaders. The three awards — the Distinguished Chapter Service Award, Distinguished SIG Service Award, and Distinguished Service Award for Students — recognize an individual’s exemplary effort, energy, and dedication to their community and its activities. This is the highest level of recognition that a member can receive for service to their community.

CPTC Textbook Winners

Last week, the STC membership department had a contest to give away copies of STC’s CPTC (Certified Professional Technical Communicator) textbook, Richard Johnson-Sheehan’s Technical Communication Today, Fifth Edition (a $99 value!), to those who joined STC or renewed their 2017 membership. On your mark, get set, go…. STC Competition Countdown!

It’s time to prepare your entries for the 2016-2017 STC competitions.  To qualify for the International Summit Awards, you first submit your entry to the local competitions, and win an Excellence or Distinguished award. Distinguished local entries are automatically sent on to the ISA. Excellence awards may be submitted at the local competition manager’s discretion.
