Summer school is in session with STC education! Make the most of your membership by beefing up your education report card.

This Week:

Content marketing is all the rage these days, and for good reason: consumers are becoming increasingly picky about the advertising they receive. They want advertising to stay far away from them where they can access it only if, and when, they want to. What do they want instead? Content! Blog posts, user guides, how-to videos, and other helpful information is what attracts and maintains customers in today’s marketplace. Learn how to find your content niche, how to create a sustainable plan for getting that content out in the world, and much more in Content Marketing: Tools, Tricks, and Best Practices with Guiseppe Getto! The webinar is tomorrow, 20 June, at 2:00 PM EDT.

Next Month:

We've got a fantastic lineup of online courses coming your way in July.

Starting 5 July, learn the invaluable skill of technological adaptability to confront ever-changing software and technologies in Technological Adaptability: Developing Basic Technical Skills with Melonie McMichael. This course is self-paced (asynchronous).

Beginning on 10 July, Guiseppe Getto returns with a brand new course on a crucial topic for technical communicators: usability. If you've ever struggled to create usable websites, documentation, or applications, or you're getting a lot of customer complaints about your products or services, Usability 101: What Every Organization Needs to Know is for you! This course will take place on Tuesdays from 2:00-3:00 PM EDT.

Closing out the month, we have a returning favorite: Technical Editing Foundations with Li-At Rathbun! This course will teach new technical editors everything they need to get started, and will also serve as a great refresher to veteran technical communicators without formal training in this area. The course begins 18 July and runs through 14 August on Tuesdays from 10:00-11:00 AM EDT.
